Blast From The Past

On Friday I was Googling random things and decided to try "1964 Ford Fairlane Sports Coupe". As many of you know, my dad had one of these cars for several years. I was just a kid when he started building it and he had it up until after I graduated from HS. Anyway, I clicked on "images" and saw what looked to be his exact car. I opened the link and sure enough it was! He sold the car to a guy in Coppell, who then sold it to a guy in Houston. Somehow after all this time the car has landed in Bristol, United Kingdom! The crazy thing is the car looks exactly the same. There are only a few minor things that have been changed. It was really cool to see the car had been cared for so well after all these years. Maybe we can buy it back... they only want 15,000 pounds. That's about $22,000 USD. It'd be worth every penny!

Rylee's Funny Sayings of The Day

No pics to look at today, but I thought I'd share some funny stuff Rylee said last night before I forgot about it. I was looking at a map of the US on the computer last night and Rylee climbed up next to me. I can only imagine what was actually going through her mind while looking at it. She studied it for a few seconds and then said, "Daddy, that's a whoooooooole lot a Texas".

Later that night we put the girls to bed and she asked me to come and "pat" her as she normally does. While we were laying there she rolled over and covered up real good and said, "Thank you for making me bed all cozy." I cracked up which she thought was hilarious so she kept saying it over and over again. I think we've got a comedian on our hands.

Go fly a kite!

Grandma got the girls some kites for Valentines day, and today was the perfect day to fly them. We took a little trip up to River Trails Elementary so we didn't have to run wild in the streets. I was expecting to spend the afternoon chasing after the kites but I was wrong. Both of the girls held on great and our first kite flying trip was a success. I think they were in awe with the fact that they were doing it all by themselves. Thanks Grandma!

Hey good looking... what cha got cooking!

The girls decided to wear their new aprons that Nana bought them for Christmas. For some strange reason Reagan's teacher, Mrs. Barbara, let Reagan pick what she wanted to bring for the party on Wednesday and Thursday... and what do you know, she picked heart shaped sugar cookies for Wednesday and cupcakes for Thursday. Here are the hot shots in their pretty princess aprons and helping me stir the batter.

What happened to this kid?

So my mom gave me some old pictures and I couldn't help myself. I figured they should be on display for everyone to see. I love looking back at really old pictures of myself and trying to see whether or not I can remember what might have been going through my mind at that age. Here's a small picture progression from boy to man and my mindset along the way.

Who knows what I was thinking at this age. Probably just happy to be at Mamaw's house. Or maybe thinking that someone needs to change my pants.

At this age I was probably already thinking about what I could get into. Don't let those baby blue eyes fool you. Nice bangs by the way. I could have cut those straighter with a hacksaw.

At this age I was probably thinking about how to keep all the girls away. Let's face it, the ladies liked the giant goggles.

Obviously at this age I was concerned about my career as an NBA superstar. I'm not going to lie, I was a force in the paint. Some uniforms can make a player look good, and some, well... some don't.

I'm pretty sure in this photo I was thinking how cool I look with my hat backwards. I was also thinking that I have to wear a hat now to hide the fact that I'm going bald.
