Happy Birthday Coleman!

Today we went to an awesome PJ party for our friend Coleman's second birthday. The girls had a great time playing with the b-day boy and their buddy Shelby. The girls love hanging out with the Peck family. Their favorite part however was Mr. Jeff swinging them around in a blanket. Who needs toys, TV, or even a playground when you've got this!

Classic Cartoons

Despite all the new cartoons and TV shows, Reagan and Rylee have found a new love in the classic Scooby Doo. Kelly's cousin Carmen gave the girls a five DVD set for Christmas and we've seen them at least 10,000 times in less than two months. I don't mind though because I grew up on Scooby Doo. I think it's neat how shows like that appeal to generation after generation. Even Kelly can't help but peek above the laptop to watch it when it's on.

Out with the old in with the older.

As most of you know my first car was my 1967 VW Bug that my dad and I brought back to life. Well, my dad did anyway. I've had that car for over thirteen years so it's safe to say it was a part of the family. Well the decision was made a while back to sell it, and after a few months on the market it now has a new home. It actually went to a friend of the family and it's not too far away. Anyway I thought it was deserving of a blog post so here it is. In its place now rests an even older VW, a 1960 model, that will one day be nicer than my first one. Someone please convince Kelly that investing in this "new" VW is much safer than today's stock market.

Screaming, er... singing is fun.

Thanks to the Disney channel, Rylee seriously thinks she is Demi Lavato (Camp Rock, Sunny With a Chance). When she finds a microphone she instantly walks into the room and says, "Hi, I'm Demi. Welcome to the Final Jam". Then she proceeds to scream lyrics at the top of her lungs. She mixes in some Hannah Montana every now and then as well. I've got to get some video on here to further illustrate my point, but as you can tell she is seriously into it. Both her and Reagan are also seriously into High School Musical as well. Hence the "fabulous" glasses.

First post of our blogging career.

So we've been inspired by our good friend Megan (who's a blogging ninja) to create our own little place on the interwebz. I hope to update it every few days with photos, stories, and a lot of needless information about our family. I figured this was an easy way to just "share the link" with friends and family so they can keep up with what we're doing... if they choose to. I'm sure I won't be as quick to update as Meg, but if Kelly takes control of this we could be in for a blogging event this world has never seen before. She's electronically crafty.

In honor of having a nice picture to look at in every post, here's some shots of Reagan and Rylee making tissue paper bluebonnets. I was making one for a sample lesson plan and they decided to join in on the fun. Okay, so Rylee's is more of a tissue paper disaster... she does that ya know. Reagan's design is pretty good. She follows directions a lot better than lil sister. Click the photo for a larger version.

So welcome to our little blog. Be sure to bookmark this page so you can check it every five minutes to see what we've added. I think you can leave comments, so feel free to do so if you like. After I get my video camera situation under control I plan to add some video on here too. Watch out Megan, you have some competition. Not!
